If you're experieincing crashes while playing offline, it sounds like it may be due to a local server issue (your computer. Once you log into your account and play online, you'll only have access to the commanders registered on your account or those that come with the retail game.

I tried putting Local Server to "On" in my settings, and now I also get a Windows error message telling me that server.exe has stopped working when I exit the game, but only after doing something that makes me encounter the simulation error.
